Shirley M. (Mcclintock) Collins

Shirley M. Collins age 75 of Ravenna, Ohio passed away peacefully at home Thursday, December  20, 2012, surrounded by family.  She was born March 13, 1937 in Summerest, PA. to the late Dennis W. and Ida M. (Burkett) McClintock.  Shirley was employed as a book keeper for A & B Refuge for 17 years. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, especially weekly backyard cook outs. Her hobbies include fishing, bowling, camping, and cooking.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge for 33 years.  Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, James "Buck" Collins, children, Debra (Roger) Woods of  Eldridge, Iowa, James Collins Jr, of Ravenna, Christopher (Helen)Collins Sr, of Pierson, Michigan, Cheryl (Darrell) Summers of Streetsboro, Scot (Theresa) Collins Sr. of Kent,  19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren.  Shirley was the beloved sister of Dennis "Sonny" (Mary Lou) McClintock of Salisbury, N.C., Nancy (Ron) Rodgers of Ravenna, Audrey Smith of Hazard, Kentucky, Donald McClintock of Ravenna. and Many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, a sister, Terry Johnston and a brother, Michael McClintock.  Calling hours will be held from 9 - 11:00 AM Saturday, December 22, 2012 where a service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home  Ravenna Chapel. Rich Hall will be officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.  The family would like to send a special Thank You to Stacy, Shellie, Kim, and Mary of Robinson Hospice.  Family has requested donations in lieu of flowers.
