Shirley M. (Prochaska) Tokar

Shirley M. Tokar, 84 of Streetsboro, passed away Thursday June 13, 2019 at the Landing of Stow.  She was born March 26, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George and Helen (Onderak) Prochaska.  Shirley adored her family and takes with her many fond memories of her four children and six loving grandchildren.  She has lived in Streetsboro since 2000 and was a faithful member of St. Joan of Arc Church, where she was active in the choir and the Altar Rosary Society.  Shirley also was a member  of the Red Hat Society.  She loved sports, cooking, playing  pinochle and spending time with her family.  Shirley was a gentle soul who loved conversation and laughter.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, her daughter Jeniffer and daughter in law Robin.  Those who are here to cherish her memory are her children, Greg (Debi) Russ (Karen) Matt (Missy) Tokar and her grandchildren Brittany, Alex, Zach, Katie, Jake and Samantha.   At Shirley's request, cremation has taken place.  A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday June 20, 2019 at St. Joan of Arc Church 8894 St Rt 14 Streetsboro, Ohio 44241.  Private family  burial will be in All Saints Cemetery Northfield, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Shirley may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
