Silas William Easterling

Silas William Easterling 92 of Streetsboro passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Hospice of Western Reserve in Euclid, Ohio.  He was born September 25, 1918 in Wise VA to the late John Henry and Savannah (Hall) Easterling.  Silas served with the Air Force as a Warrant Officer during WWII.  He was a coal miner in Mine 24 till the age of 55 where he moved to CA and worked for McDonald Douglas for several years, then moving to Ohio where he has lived for past 37 years.   Survivors include his loving wife Wanda (Maynard) Easterling whom he married November 2, 1946, son, Dale (Judy) Easterling of Streetsboro, grandchildren, Scott, Christie, Eric, Kimberly, Alyssia, Kayla, great grandchild, Benjamin. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Adams, son Terry Easterling, sisters, Ruth, Vileta, brothers, Gilbert, Bill and Herbert.  Private services will be held tomorrow.
