Skip Snyder, 70, of Streetsboro, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Nov 21, 2019. Skip was born in Sharon, PA to Chester Snyder Jr. and Alice Marie (Davis) Snyder. He graduated from Hickory High School. Skip was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Navy, and was a lifetime blood donor. He married the love of his life, Connie Wilson on Feb 17, 1973. He worked as a Production Control Analyst for Rockwell Automation for 32 years before retiring in 2015. He was an active member of Snap Fitness and Planet Fitness, and was looking forward to the re-opening of Powerhouse Gym in Streetsboro. He attended the Streetsboro United Methodist Church for decades and enjoyed singing in the church choir, but did not enjoy choir practice. Skip brought laughter and joy to many with his jokes and colorful stories. Skip is survived by his wife, Connie; children: Neil (Christina), Jake (Donna), and Kimberly (Shon); and 8 grandchildren: Christopher, Nathaniel, Ian, Aidan, Evan, Charlie, Isabella and Julia, whom he dearly loved. Following cremation, visitation will be 10AM on Nov 29 at Streetsboro United Methodist Church followed by a memorial service at 11AM. Arrangements made by Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home. The family welcomes memorial contributions to the Streetsboro United Methodist Church and blood donations to the American Red Cross.
