Sondra K. (Hills) Cruise

Sondra K. Cruise 75 of Ravenna Twp. passed away Sunday July 10, 2016 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio with her family after fighting Mesothelia for almost two years. She was born on July 7, 1941 in Florala, Alabama to the late Philip and Blanche (Vaught) Hills. Mrs. Cruise has lived in Ravenna Twp. the past 56 years and had retired from the banking business, where she had worked in collections and as a branch manager for City Bank and Ameritrust Bank at various branches in the area. Sondra loved her family and pets. She enjoyed spending her spare time tending her various flower gardens. Survivors include her husband of 56 years Larry A. Cruise, her children Gregory Alan Cruise of Homasassa, Florida, Cid Lee Emerine-Cruise of Garrettsville, Tia Lea Rutledge of Ravenna Twp., three grandchildren Alan and Tatiana Cruise and Aleksandr Rutledge and sister Wanda Garner of Houston, Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Stanley Hills. Calling hours will be Friday July 15, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel, where funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday July 16, 2016 with Pastor J.P. Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Standing Rock Cemetery Kent, Ohio. The family asks that memorial donations may be made to UH Hospital Seidman Cancer Center.
