Susanna "Sue" (Chuchalk) Mizer

Susanna "Sue" Mizer 89 of Rootstown passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her residence. She was born March 3, 1922 to Hungarian Immigrants Frank and Mary (Ferris) Chuchalk. Sue was a dedicated lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 737 in Lake Milton for 60 years, where she was president for  eight times  and parliamentarian for 5 years and worked 20 plus years at the Fish Fry on Fridays. She was a member of the 8 +40 Salon 336 in Mahoning County and she baked cupcakes for the veterans at Brecksville Hospital for birthdays and pies for the men's 40 & 8 dinners and was a great cookie maker for the holidays. Sue is survived by one son Dale (Mary Kay) Mizer, Jr., two grandsons, Dale (Gina) Mizer III and David Mizer of Rootstown, six great grandchildren Jordan, Cainan, Morgan, Madison, Camden and Ryan Mizer. She was preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers and sisters, husband Dale Mizer, Sr. and son Frank Mizer. Calling hours will be from 5 - 8 PM Friday, July 15, 2011 with Lake Milton American Legion Auxillary services at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel .  Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Funeral Home  with Reverend Scott Purdum officiating. Burial will follow in West Cemetery in Palmyra, OH. Memorials should be made to Robinson Memorial Hospice, 6847 N.
