Sylvia (Bowie) Anderson

Sylvia E. Anderson,72 of Streetsboro went home to be with the Lord on June 15, 2012, after several years of declining health surrounded by her loving family. Sylvia was an avid clock collector and her greatest pastime was reading. She looked forward to her weekly trips to Hartville with her late husband Bob, a tradition her children kept up after his death. She was known for decorating for the holidays, especially christmas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sylvia was born on November 18, 1939 in Clarksburg, WV to Clarence E. and Kathryn M. (Wetzel) Bowie. She and the love of her life, her late husband Robert C. Anderson, Sr. has lived in Streetsboro for the past 35 years. Sylvia leaves behind her six children, daughters Deborah Murphy of Warren, Robin (Greg) Rich of Rootstown, Lynn (Luis) Pupo of Kent, sons Clarence Anderson of Ravenna, Robert (Kimberly) Anderson of Streetsboro, Ronald (Celcia) Anderson of California, grandchildren, Chuck, Robert, Krisanna, Amanda, Bobby III, Nicholas, Chelsea, Cassandra, Ronnie Jr., Luis Jr., Marlena, Kayla, Jerry, Alec and Anthony and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather/dad Delphia R. Dean, husband Robert "Bob" Anderson, grandson Robert Lewis and son in law Jim Murphy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Calling hours will be from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral HomeRavenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, June 22, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Karen Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville.
