Tara E.J. Vargo

Tara Eileen Joanne Vargo, March 25, 1977 - March 1, 2021. Tara started with two strikes against her, Spina Bifida. However she was full of life and ready to give it her all, no matter what laid ahead. She grew up in Streetsboro, OH with her parents Jim and Peg Vargo and their other children, Jim II, Tim, Kara and Kristopher. She graduated from Maplewood Vocational Center and Streetsboro High School. Enjoyed music and played the flute in middle school band. She is survived by her mom Peg, brother Tim, sister-in-law Marlene and sister Kara. Waiting for her in her new Heavenly home are dad Jim, brother Jim II, brother Kristopher and a sister she has yet to meet Jill. She was very friendly and loved all people. Having Spina Bifida meant many trips to hospitals. That did not stop her. She was employed in several areas such as Walmart, greeter and cashier, McDonalds, order taker and cashier, receptionist and telemarketing etc. Her love for children drew her to volunteer in a day care. She participated in Special Olympics. She learned to swim. At home she was always trying some new craft. Knitting, painting, jewelry making, story writing and watching Wheel of Fortune in evening with mom and dad. Also she enjoyed cooking for her sister Kara and grandma. The last several years she has called Longmeadow Care Center home. Many thanks to everyone for all their care and consideration. Specially the former employee who entrusted her little dog/puppy to Tara's care while she worked. What a privilege that was for her.   Her wish was to be cremated and buried with other family at Northlawn Cemetery Peninsula, OH. Memorial calling hours will be 12 Pm until time of memorial services at 1:00 PM on Saturday March 13, 2021 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel.   Flowers are welcome but please make donations in Tara's memory to Longmeadow Care Center 565 Bryn Mawr, Ravenna, OH 44266 or Midwest Children's Home 1581 Long Spurling Rd., Pleasant Plane, OH 45162.
