Theresa L. Bachtel

Theresa L. Bachtel, 64 of Shalersville, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. On December 23, 1961 she was born in Ravenna to the late Norman and Georgeanna (Carlton) Brown. Theresa lived on Peck Road in Shalersville almost her entire life and retired from the Ravenna Post office, where she was a rural mail carrier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Norman Gene Brown. She was a beloved wife of 44 years to James R. Bachtel, a loving mother to Melissa (Steve) Stuckert, Zach (Krista) Bachtel and adoring grandmother to Bellamy Kate Bachtel and Kobain James “KJ” Bachtel. She will be remembered as a strong, caring, decisive, fair and faithful woman with a generous and honest heart. She will be greatly missed.
