Theresa M. Ries

Theresa M. Ries 94 of Atwater passed away peacefully at home Saturday, May 2. 2015 surrounded by her  family. She was born September 11, 1920 in  Czechoslovakia. Mrs. Ries has lived in Atwater since 1943 where she enjoyed gardening, mowing the grass, watching birds and just being outdoors. She attended Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna. Survivors include her sons Paul (Cindy), Marty, John (Cindy) and Dan (Natalie), grandchildren Ronnie, Christine, Paul Jr., Nicole, Tammy, Jim, Sherry, Tricia, April and Amanda, 17 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and caregiver Norma Rossow. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin F. Ries in 2000. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. A graveside funeral service will be at 11 AM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Atwater Cemetery with Reverend Rich Hall officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to Robinson Hospice & Visiting Nurse, 6847 N. Chestnut Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
