Theresa A (Vaccariello) Griffith

Theresa A. Griffith, 89, of Brecksville passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the Metrohealth Brecksville Health Center. She was born June 21, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Anthony and Mary (Piglipoco) Vaccariello. In 1990 she retired from Cleveland Heights High School where she worked as an administrative assistant for more than 20 years. Active in several St. Basil the Great service clubs, she also enjoyed socializing and playing cards with her many friends in the Ravenna and Brecksville communities. Never happier than when spending time with her large family, she also loved to fish and travel to the sun to escape Cleveland winters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Ada Maiani and Aldemira Regalbuto.  Survivors include her husband of over 69 years Thomas Griffith, whom she married December 27, 1950; her 7 children: Cheryl (Bret) Cannon, Thomas A. (Susan) Griffith, Maryanne (Robert) Young, Glenn (Pamela) Griffith, Jeanette (Mitchell) Singer, Noreen (Andy Antico) Griffith, Timothy (Jodie) Griffith; her 16 grandchildren: Mari, Thom, Daniel, Susan, Kyle, Allyson, Bryan, Nathan, Neil, Chana, Aaron, Dovid, Nicholas, Jenna, Benjamin, and Isabelle; her 7 great-grandchildren: Nora, Nina, Natalie, Emmerson, Lucia, Lucas and Harper.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 15,  2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Fortuna Funeral Home, 7076 Brecksville Rd. Independence, Ohio 44131. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 16, 2020 at St. Basil the Great, 8700 Brecksville Rd. Brecksville, Ohio 44141.
