Boyes 70 of Ravenna went to be with our Lord on Sept 11, 2013. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp and after his return from the Cuban Missile Crisis he was an Honor Guard in Washington D.C..
He drove truck for the Teamsters most his adult life.
He was born June 19, 1943 in Akron, Ohio to the late Harry and Virginia (Hines) Boyes. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years, Sandy (Trammel) Boyes. His daughters, Becky Boyes and Deborah (Stephen) Kraska of Ravenna, sons, Thomas (Denise) Boyes of Kent, Jack (Virginia)
Boyes of Minerva, Steven Boyes of Ravenna,
Roger (Tonya) Boyes of Atwater, 14 grandchildren, Mandy and Matt Kraska, of Ravenna, Jake, Ryan and Megan Harris of Ravenna, Brittany Tucker of Mansfield, Owen and Carter Boyes of Ravenna, Tom and Aiden Boyes of Atwater, and Rachel, Molly, Arron, and Wendy Boyes of Minerva,. One great grandson Blake Harris of Ravenna, many nieces and nephews, and by 3 wonderful sister-in-laws.
Besides his parents he was preceded by 1 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, you will remember them in your prayers. A Graveside service will be held at
1:00 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2013
in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio with Rev. Allen Fletcher officiating. Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
