Thomas D. Griffiths

Thomas D. Griffiths, 83 of Ravenna passed away Saturday September 27, 2014 at his residence .  He was born March 21, 1931 in Newton Falls, Ohio to the late Thomas O. and Vivian (Jones) Griffiths.  Mr. Griffiths retired  as a Banking Officer from Bank One in Ravenna in 1986 and was a member of the Ravenna Elks, past president and exhausted rooster from the Ravenna Jaycee's where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award.  He was a veteran of the US. Air Force.  Survivors include his wife  Madonna (Drago) Griffiths whom he married June 26, 1952, his children Mark (Susan) Griffiths of Randolph, Tom (Dorothy) Griffiths of Ravenna, Joy (Chet) Mosca of Kent, Amy Griffiths of Ravenna, his grandchildren Ben Griffiths, Dylan Smearcheck, Tony Mosca, Larry Mosca, Madonna Smith, Davis Griffiths, Mark Griffiths and four great grandchildren.  Also surviving Mr. Griffiths are his nephew Byron Walter and niece Hannah Walter.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Wanda Walter and Gertrude Smith.  Calling hours will be  Tuesday  September 30, 2014 from 6:00 PM until of  funeral services  at 7:30 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery  Ravenna, Ohio.  The family requests that memorials may be made to the Reed Memorial Library Foundation  167 E. Main St. Ravenna, Ohio.
