Thomas E. Milton, Sr.

"To be absent with this flesh body is to be present with the Lord."  Thomas E. Milton, Sr. aged 70 passed away at his home on Friday July 25, 2014.  Tom was an avid deer hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed gambling, camping with his family and was a big Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching their many sporting events.  He was born March 24, 1944 in New Eagle, PA.  He left his family home at the age of 19 with his new bride where he began a life together in Ohio.  In 1964, he started his career at the Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, Ohio.  in 1977, he earned his apprenticeship as a millwright, retiring in May 2002 after proudly devoting 38 years of service.  Tom leaves behind his beloved children Thomas (Jocelyn) Milton, Jr., Lori (Richard) Cook, Christina (William) Horsfall and Heather (Robert) Brady, his precious grandchildren Tristan, Michael, Tyler, Tanner, Tatum, Teagan and Jordan.  His brothers Ronald, John, Sam and sister Carrie.  He also leaves behind many family members and friends who will miss his kind, big heart dearly.  On August 25, 2012, he lost the love of his life, best friend and wife whom he was married to for 48 years, Karen E. (Keenan) Milton.  Although heartbroken, he lived the remainder of his life for the love  of his children and grandchildren.  Besides his wife, Tom is preceded in death by his parents Mike and Virginia Milton, brothers Michael "Jay" and Robert Milton.  He just recently lost his father in law, Junior Keenan and sister in laws Bonne Milton and Kim Keenan as well as his two companions, Sampson and Buttons.  Calling hours will be from 5-8 Pm Tuesday  July 29, 2014 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday July 30, 2014 with Pastor David Evans officiating.  Burial will follow the services at Maple Grove Cemetery  Ravenna, Ohio.
