Thomas E. Moore

Thomas E. Moore 69 of Ravenna, a lifelong Portage County resident, died Thursday, May 20, 2010. He was born November 6, 1940 in Ravenna, Ohio to Earl J. and Lila M. (Cannon) Moore. Thomas was a US Air Force veteran, worked in telecommunications as a producer for TV 29 and WNIR, enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing keyboard on his computer and was an avid TV watcher. Survivors include his mother Lila Mae Moore of Ravenna, wife Mary Ellen (Pugsley) Moore, sons Jeffery (Tisha) Moore of Galion, OH and Dexter (Jen) Moore of Ravenna, grandchildren Cora Marie, Jethro Eli, Veronica Ann, Karen Kay and Jeffery Charles all of Galion, OH, Mandy of Kent, Josh of Ravenna, Tyler lee and Alexis Lynn both of Petersburg, MI, great grandson Dominic of Kent, sisters Connie (Bruce) Marvin, Susan Roy and Eileen Moore all of Ravenna and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Earl J. Moore. Calling hours will be from 5 - 7 PM Monday, May 24, 2010 at First Freedom Baptist Church, 2171 Tallmadge Road in Brimfield, with funeral services at 7:00 PM Monday. Pastor Dan Alexoff will officiate. Cremation will follow the service with burial to be in Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
