Thomas J. Strayer, Sr

Thomas J. Strayer, Sr. 86 of Kent passed away Monday August 28, 2017 at the Briarwood Nursing Home in Stow, Ohio. He was born October 24, 1930 in Kent, Ohio to the late Noel and Flossie (Miller) Strayer. Mr. Strayer has lived in Kent most of his life and was a retired construction worker for several companies. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a car enthusiast drag racing cars. Survivors include his children Thomas (Mary) Strayer, Jr of Brimfield, Deborah (Rudy Sega) Ash of Kent, his grandchildren Heather and Michael Ash, his siblings Geraldine Bentley of Streetsboro, Joanne Schmidt of Suffield, Bonita Marshall of Streetsboro, Sandra Hamner of Streetsboro and Dennis Strayer of Suffield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Beverly on April 30, 2012 and his siblings Claudine Marks, Donald, Michael, Fred, James, David and Bob Miller. There will be no calling hours or funeral service at Tom's requests, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place in Standing Rock Cemetery Kent, Ohio.
