Thomas C. "Tom" Jones

Thomas C. "Tom" Jones, 77 of Braceville, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Tom was born on June 7, 1944 in Warren to the late Walter and Fayma Jones. He had retired as a Teamster. Tom was a proud service member of the U.S. Navy, where he served on the USS Sea Lion and USS Cutlass. Living in Braceville most of his life, he attended the Braceville Christian Church, was a member of the Southington American Legion and after retired as a lieutenant after serving for 25 years at the Braceville Fire Department. Tom was an avid Ohio State fan and enjoyed watching Nascar. In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his brothers Walter E. Jones and Edward A. Jones. He is survived by his wife Sara E. Eakins Jones whom he married March 27, 1964, children Christina (John) James, Thomas C. Jones, II, MiChelle Jones Crawford and Danny Jones, siblings Shirley (Theodore) Harcarik, Floyd R. Jones, William V. Jones and Lenora K. Jones, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the James Funeral Home 8 East Broad St. Newton Falls, Ohio 44444 where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, November 13, 2021.
