Reverend Thomas Howard White, 69, of Brady Lake, passed away early afternoon on November 11, 2014 at home surrounded by family and friends. Tom was a loving husband to his wife of over 51 years, Sandy (Carden), wise father of Tommy (Laura) White of Kent, Grace (Keith) Angel of Randolph, Donny White of Kent, Mark (Kristine) White of Oregon, Sara (Rick) Legg of Kent, Beth (Ryan) Rollyson of Randolph and Danny (Cassandra) Wells of Cortland, who have looked up to him their entire life; grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 1. Brother to Juanita (Sam) Grubb of Randolph, Dick (Teresa) White of Freedom, David (Jeany) White of Rootstown, Robert (Donna) Smith of Tennessee, Betty Jean Henderson of Ravenna and Bill White. Thomas was born on July 19th, 1945 in Baltimore Maryland. Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda L. White (Moss) and father, David Wilford White as well as several brothers and sisters. He graduated from Stow High School in 1963 followed by Akron Bible Institute (Moody Bible) before pursuing a career in ministry, where he was part of the Hiawatha Baptist Missionary group in Noranda, Quebec and Manitouwadge, Canada. Tom was then part of the Brown Street Baptist Church serving as Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor and Young Married Couple's Pastor. He was Pastor of the Brady Lake Baptist Church for several years. Tom was then host of a radio show on WTOF called "Life After Death" where he gave his personal advice and teachings of the bible to all his listeners. For the last 40 years of his life, Tom spread his love for the Lord through his local bible study group and traveling to various churches, encouraging others to follow The Lord as well. Tom and Sandy spent the past 51 years trusting God and have enjoyed allowing God to run their small but happy life. They are such an inspiration to their children and anyone who knows them. Tom has touched the lives of many people that will miss him very much, but he will live in their hearts forever. As his grandkids say, "This isn't goodbye, more like a 'see you later' because one day we will be in heaven together." Calling hours will be from 10 AM to time of funeral service at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
