Tyrone Douglas Phillips

Tyrone Douglas Phillips, 82 of Ravenna, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the Phoenix of Fairlawn in Akron, Ohio.  On July 24, 1942 Tyrone was born in Fairmont, WVA to the late Harry "Pete" W. Phillips and Elladean (Kisner) McBee.  Mr. Phillips has lived in Ravenna the past six months and had lived in Richmond Hts. for 32 years.  He had retired from Honeywell Bull out of Cleveland where he was a computer technician and was a member of the Nottingham Baptist Church in Willoughby Hills, Ohio.  Survivors include his wife of 60 years Diane C. (Davis) Phillips whom he married March 28, 1964, his children Douglas (Helen) Phillips, Jason (Jason) Phillips, Joyce (Moises) Guzman, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and  sisters Lida Morris and Carol McBee.  In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 PM Saturday January 18, 2025 at the Nottingham Baptist Church 2921 Bishop Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44092.  Please visit www.sscfuneralhomes.com to offer a condolence, share a memory or light a candle in his honor.
