Vera Jean Standen (nee Barnhart) passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011 in Orange Park, Florida. She was 84 years old. She was a member of Christ Church in Streetsboro, Ohio. Vera was born on June 23, 1926 in Amherst, Ohio to the late Brady and Mary Barnhart. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Russell Franklin Standen; her sisters Edna Barnhart and Dorothy (Eugene) Hall; her brother Brady Britton (Joanne) Barnhart; nieces Mary (Jim) Wilhelm; Mona Hall; and her granddaughter Peggy Standen. Vera is survived by her sons Corby (Zolive) Standen; Khim (Sherri) Standen; her daughters Susan (Brian, deceased) Hagen and Cynthia (Jack) Lima; grandchildren John (Jennifer) Lima; Ann-Marie Lima; James Lima; Russell Carl (Tina) Hagen; Brett Standen; Justin Standen and Russell Lee Standen; four great-grandchildren – Gavin Hagen, Logan Hagen, Rachel Lima and Brooke Lima; nephews and many cousins. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Ralph Price from Christ Church in Streetsboro will be officiating. Mrs. Standen will be cremated.
