Verna Stacy

Verna Stacy "forever 29" of Cuyahoga Falls, formerly of Ravenna, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Crown Center at Laurel Lake in Hudson. She was born May 15, 1939 in Ary, KY to Ira, Sr. and Melda (Noble) Stacy. She grew up on Mill Branch Hollow and carried her love for Kentucky with her everywhere in life. Verna worked as an inspector for the Norton Company (Saint Gobain) in Ravenna and with her daughter at KIM School of Dance. Survivors include her children Kim (Scott) Buckosh and Dani (John) Welch, adored granddaughters Autumn, Evan and Abigail, siblings Ira J. Stacy, Betty S. Epple, Don Stacy, Letty Stacy, Josephine Kurtz, and Nancy Napier, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Dan Stacy. She will also be missed by furry buddies, Mr. Otto and Bobby. Calling hours will be from 11 AM until time of funeral service at 12 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Dr. Michael Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the American Cancer Society.
