Victor L. Klaco

Victor L. Klaco, 95, of Brimfield, passed away Wednesday July 19, 2023 at the UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio.  On October 5, 1927, Mr. Klaco was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Steve L. and Helen (Podobnik) Klaco.  Living in Brimfield for over 50 years, Mr. Klaco was a retired maintenance man from the NRM Corporation in Tallmadge.  He was a member of St. Peter of the Fields Church in Rootstown and enjoyed tinkering around the house especially on his John Deere and Allis-Chalmers Tractors.  Mr. Klaco was a lifetime member of the American Legion after proudly being a US Navy Veteran serving his country in WW II.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Klaco on April 3, 2001.  Survivors include his children Victor S. (Betty Smith) Klaco of Mogadore, Karen (Fred) Edwards of Rootstown and his sister Patricia Dremack of Florida.  Calling hours will be Tuesday July 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter of the Fields Church in Rootstown, Ohio where following services, he will be laid to rest at St. Peter of the Fields Church Cemetery.  The family requests memorial donations to the Brimfield Fire Department and would like to thank the nursing staff at UH Portage Medical Center for the care of their father.  Condolences and memories of Victor may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
