Vincent A. "Tony" Barone

Vincent Anthony "Tony" Barone 53 of Ravenna, passed away suddenly on Sunday October 9, 2016 of a heart attack.  He was born January 19, 1963 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Geno and Annette (Bourdess) Barone.  Tony has lived in Ravenna the past 16 years and was formerly a lifelong Kent resident, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1981.  He was a truck driver for D&S Distribution in Wooster.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter Marissa Paige Barone, his grandparents  John and Antonina Barone and Anthony and Ellen Bourdess.  He is survived by his sons, Jacob and Joseph, former wife Dianna Elkins-Barone, former in-laws  Pastor Virgil and Mary Elkins, his siblings, Bernadette (John) Goodwin , John (Angel) Barone and Geno (Kelly) Barone, Jr., his Aunt Christina Fertig and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.    Tony was  kind hearted and everyone instantly liked him. He will always be loved and missed by his family and friends.  Calling hours will be 6-8 PM Thursday October 13, 2016 and from 10:00 Am until  time of funeral services at 11:00 AM on Friday October 14, 2016   at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Pastor Virgil Elkins officiating.  Burial will follow the services in Standing Rock Cemetery.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family for expenses.  Condolences and memories of Tony may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
