Viola Mae (Hinkle) Andrews

Viola Mae Andrews, 84, of Ravenna passed away surrounded by loved ones at home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Vi was born April 21, 1937, in Lubbock, TX, to Lloyd E. and Allie M. (Gray) Hinkle. After raising her children, she became a passionate and prolific artist, producing hundreds of paintings and sketches. She also dabbled in needlework, creating several crocheted, cross-stitched, and embroidered pieces of art. She is survived by her daughters, Belinda Ore of Aurora, CO, Elizabeth “Liz” Brookover of Ravenna, OH, and son, Leonard “Andy” (Jennifer) Andrews of Hopkinton, MA; grandsons, Andrew “A.J.” (Alisa) Ore, Kyle (Cassandra “Cassie”) Ore, Josh (Julie) Brookover, Cody (Stacy) Brookover, and granddaughter, Kathryn “Katy” Andrews; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Ore, Clark Ore, Tempest Ore, Everett Brookover, Wyatt Brookover, Bennett Brookover, and Levi Brookover; and siblings William Hinkle, Betty McCullah, and Dean Hinkle. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Herbert “Herb,” sister Jackie Almason, and her parents. She was a member of the Streetsboro Church of Christ. There will be no calling hours or services.
