Virginia G. Buchkoski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia Buchkoski, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, on January 3, 2025.

Virginia had a love for arts and crafts, with a special talent for crocheting. She created blankets, stuffed animals, and other heartfelt gifts that her loved ones treasure. She collected angel figurines, adored animals—especially her beloved pets—and enjoyed baking and cooking, particularly for holiday gatherings. Her famous potato salad and delicious treats were always a highlight of family celebrations. She also enjoyed music, playing games, writing poetry, and relished the time she spent chatting with her friends.

She was an avid fan of comedian Brandon Farris, whose humor brought her endless joy. Virginia found comfort and connection in her “dooder” and "2%er" communities, groups that provided her with immense happiness and encouragement. She considered them her second family and held those relationships close to her heart.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Doing Sr. and Helen Doing (Reaser), whom she missed dearly. She was the proud mother of her two children, April Buchkoski and Richard Buchkoski, who survive her. Virginia was also a cherished sister to Sandra Feeman (James), Susan Jacob (Richard), William Doing (Brenda), Ronald Doing, and Richard Doing (Charlene). She loved her nieces and nephews deeply, and shared a special bond with her niece Shayla ("Boo Bear") and her great-niece Liliana.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Hospice of the Western Reserve for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. They also wish to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe for funeral expenses. Your generosity and kindness mean more to them than words can express. A celebration of Virginia’s life will be announced at a later date.

Virginia was a bright light, and her legacy of love and creativity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.
