Virginia A. (Fausnaught) Newcomb

Virginia A. Newcomb 84 of Ravenna passed away Thursday August 6, 2015 at the Woodlands at Robinson in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born May 7, 1931 in Rootstown to the late Clarence and Ruth (Wilson) Fausnaught.  Mrs.  Newcomb has been a lifelong Portage County Resident and was a volunteer for MADD, the Randolph Fair for over 30 years and Portage County  Election Boards, the Ravenna Balloon Affair, a member of the Edinburg Homemakers Club and Democratic Women's Club and also was a fomer member of the Artist's Guild.  Survivors include her husband Ron Newcomb whom she married June 14, 1953, her daughter Cindy Ann (Dennis) Dunn of Randolph and her sister in law Marilyn Pyles of Ravenna.  Calling hours will be 12 Noon until time of funeral services at 1:00 Pm on Monday August 10, 2015 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio. The family askes that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Portage County APL or the Alzeimer's Association. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends and always had a smile for all.
