Vivian E. Yaeger 84 of Rootstown passed away Saturday July 30, 2011 at the Emeritus of Ravenna. She was born May 22, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Charles and Millie (Barbaro) Catt. Mrs. Yaeger has lived in Rootstown since 1963 and was formerly of Bedford Hts. She was a member of the Rootstown United Methodist Church, had worked at Black & Decker in Solon and retired from Portage Industries. She started the Candy Ministries at the Rootstown United Methodist in the 1980's for the building of the new sanctuary. She is survived by her husband George Yaeger, whom she married October 22, 1966 and her daughter Laurette Yaeger of Rootstown. In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her brother Paul Catt and sister Lillian Dreiling. Calling hours will be Saturday August 6, 2011 from 2:00 PM Saturday until time of funeral services at 3:00 PM at the Rootstown United Methodist Church with Pastor Philip Raynes officiating. The family requests memorials to the Rootstown United Methodist Church Building Fund 4065 St. Rt 44 Rootstown, Ohio 44272 in her honor or the RMH Hopsice. The family would like to thank the staff of the memory care unit at Emeritus of Ravenna and RMH Hospice.
