Walter Collins, Jr

Brother Walter Collins, Jr. born August 29, 1940 in Magnolia, Mississippi went home to be with the lord September 29, 2015.
He accepted Christ in 1989 and was united with New Life Faith Ministries as a faithful member and deacon. He served as an intercessor prayer warrior in the church. He worked at Span Crete as a Crane Operator and wet cast from 1971 until retirement. He served faithfully in the community as a landscaper.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter “Doc” Collins, Sr. and Wilma J. Collins; son, Eugene Williams; sisters, Corine McCrae and Irene Eddings.
He is leaving in bereavement, survivors, loving wife since March 26, 1993 Ann Collins; sons, Darrell R. Williams and Walter Junior Collins, III; daughter, Angie (Latif) Hughes; grandchildren, Damiyon Baxstrum, Latif Hughes II, Shazadi Hughes, Tanekia Bryant and Janae Hughes as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Monday at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home in Ravenna with Pastor Arthur Perry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Darrell Williams, 6610 Terrill St. Ravenna, OH to be used for the care of Ann Collins.
