Walter J. Sloey

Walter J. Sloey, 64, passed away Saturday March 7, 2020 at the Woodlands Health and Rehab facility in Ravenna, Ohio. He was born September 12, 1955 in Akron, Ohio to the late Edward and Marie L. (Casamento) Sloey. Walter lived in Ravenna for the past 20 years and had  worked as a chef. He was a member of  St. Patrick's Church in Kent. He loved to cook especially  fixing lunches at the Coleman Center,   enjoyed being at the Coleman Adult Day Care and had a host of wonderful friends at his home at Prospect House in Ravenna.   In addition to his parents,  Walter is preceded in death by his siblings,  Edward Jr., Mary Fertig, Diana Smith and Leslie Story. He is survived by his sisters Carol Ramsdell of Kent, Lee Ann McMullen of Brady Lake, Beth (Jim) Adolph of Brady Lake, Laurie  (Mike)  Smith of Brady Lake and numerous nieces and nephews.
