William Preston "Bill" King

William Preston "Bill" King, 92 of Kent passed away Thursday October 19, 2017 at Kent Ridge. He was born March 21, 1925 in Hudson, Ohio to the late Romeo R. and Junia (Simon) King. Mr. King has lived in the Stow-Kent area since 2015 and was formerly of Cuyahoga Falls and Ravenna. He retired from the City of Cuyahoga Falls as an electrician. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WW II and also was a veteran of the US Navy. Survivors include his children Kimberly (Kerry) Chetto and Duane (Liberty) King , his grandchildren Brian (Dawn) Chetto, Matthew (Jessica) Chetto, his grandchildren Ashlyn, Ethan, Marcus, Zachary and his brother Thurman King. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Louella Mae King in 2008 and three sisters and one brother. Calling hours will be 6-8 PM Monday October 23, 2017 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Graveside services with military honors will be 12:30 Tuesday October 24, 2017 at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery Rittman, Ohio.
