William E. (Bill) Moncheck, Jr.

William E. (Bill) Moncheck, Jr., Age 61 of Ravenna, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 after failing health for the past twelve years.
He was born August 20, 1953 in Brownsville, PA to parents William, Sr. and Dolores (Dargai) Moncheck.
Bill graduated in 1971 from Streetsboro High School where he excelled in football and wrestling. He was the first wrestler from SHS to compete in the state wrestling tournament. He then went on to Heidelberg College in Tiffin, OH and graduated in 1975. Bill married his high school sweetheart Sandy Thomas on July 26, 1975.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Sandra (Thomas) Moncheck of Ravenna, daughters Tara (Ray) Daudani of Richmond, VA, Jena Moncheck of Statesboro, GA, Kyla Moncheck of Cleveland, OH & Lora Moncheck of Ravenna, OH and his precious granddaughter Ameera Daudani of Richmond, VA.
Bill is also survived by his mother Dolores Moncheck of Streetsboro, OH,
sisters Debbie (Bill Hager) McLeod of Northfield, OH and Cindy (Steve) Pritt of Suffield, OH. Preceding him in death was his father William E. Moncheck, Sr.
Bill taught middle school and high school Biology for many years and then
worked as a supervisor for Chrysler Corporation in Twinsburg, OH. He retired in 2010. Bill enjoyed riding his trike, cooking, traveling and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.
Friends may call at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home in Streetsboro on Friday, July 31 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Streetsboro with Fr. Pat Ferraro officiating. (Please Note procession will form at the church). Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
