William "Bill" L. Allison

January 17, 1956 — October 3, 2022

Kent

William "Bill" L. Allison, 66 of Kent, went in peace to Heaven with dignity, while the professional Angels at the hospice cared center in Akron care for him, during his incredible strength through his storm of incurable illnesses, while his proud wife held her hand on his heart and his on hers Monday, October 3, 2022. Bill was born on January 17, 1956 in Alliance to Donald and Joyce (Jenkins) Allison. He worked in shipping and receiving and material handling, retiring from Allen Bradley Rockwell Automation in Twinsburg. He also worked in landscaping with Turf trimmers and kitchen prep at Mikes Place as retirement jobs. Bill enjoyed motorcycle rides, camping, long drives off the beaten path, gardening, OSU, H O train hobby, coca cola and piggies. He was a fantastic cook and enjoyed sharing this with his friends and family. Bill is preceded in death by his mother Joyce (Jenkins) Allison, his brother Dave Allison. He is survived by his wife Holly A. (Ford) Allison whom he married on July 25, 2000 on the beach in NC and worked hard to be able to travel together and with family or friends, "out before noon" to the Great Smokey Mountains and the beaches and most recently nearly 7,000 miles to Custer SD, Yellowstone and beyond, father Donald Allison, children Vanessa (Nick) Pope, Samantha Allison and her dog Walker, Joseph (Amanda Spetz) Berghauser and Sara Berghauser, grandchildren Kaila, Austin, Jack, Alexis, Gavin, Deaven, Adriana, Kaylee and Aiden, siblings Michael (Kenny) Allison and Dawn Ann (Mark) Plumley, sister-in-law Diane Allison, nieces Brittany and Melessa, and nephew Brian. If Bill let you in, you were in, you know who you are and he loved you! If not, there was no doubt. Bill loved to mess with people and make people laugh, he kept his humor till the end. Grab a Coke, and your smoke, a foo foo, Shangri-La, beer, wine and have a great time reminiscing and remembering Bill, Billy Honey, Shooter, Wild Bill, Slick willy, Son, old man, old timer, and of course words we shouldn't say, and won't. Thank you is never enough; we will love you forever and ever. Special thanks and heart felt love to all of our family, friends, care givers, neighbors, co workers, and strangers who gave it all and then some. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel from 11:00AM until time of services at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at the Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls. Condolences and memories of Bill can be shared with his family at http://www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
