William L. "Bill" Schesventer 81 of Streetsboro passed away Wednesday April 28, 2010 at Akron City Hospital. He was born April 11, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles and Sarah Mabel (Baffin) Schesventer. Bill has lived in Streetsboro for the past 19 years and was formerly of Rootstown. He retired in 1998 as a building maintenance supervisor from Pepper Pike Place in Pepper Pike, Ohio. He was a veteran of the US Army, enjoyed playing pool, cards, fishing, loved to read, listen to music and most definitely loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his son, William F. (Rhonda) Schesventer of Kent, daughters Toni J. Fisher of Kent, Mary C. (Gary) Broyles of Columbus, Evelyn (Wayne) Newberry of Akron, grandchildren Donny, Dana, Steven, Jason, Bryan, Amelia and brother George of Florida. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Lou in December of 2002. Calling hours will be from 1:00 PM Saturday May 1, 2010 until time of funeral services at 2:00 PM At Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel with Rev. Bill White, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro, Ohio. The family requests memorial to the Disabled American Vets of WW II.
