Wilma W. (Wymer) Hearrell

Wilma W. Hearrell 94 of Alliance, formerly of Ravenna, passed away peacefully with her son by her side on Friday, September 12, 2025. Wilma was born on December 8, 1930 in Ravenna to the late Cloyd and Amy Adela (Diezman) Wymer. She was a loving mother, devoted Christina, and cherished friend. She dedicated part of her early career as a clerk at the Portage County Records Office before devoting her life to raising her three sons, whom she loved dearly. Her greatest joy came from being a mother and caring for her family, which remained at the center of her life. A woman of steadfast faith, Wilma was a member of Shepherds Hill Church of the Nazarene, where she found fellowship and purpose. She was also active in the Nazarene Owl's Club. Wilma's generous spirit extended beyond her family and church. She supported numerous charities and organizations, always eager to give to those in need. At home, her compassion was evident in the way she cared for animals, from the birds and squirrels that visited her yard to the cats she lovingly tended, even those she hadn't planned to welcome. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her playful spirit, and deep devotion she showed to family, faith, and community. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Raphael, whom she married on March 27, 1953, her sons Jeffrey an Larry Hearrell, her parents, and five of her siblings. She is survived by her sister Mary Lou Dean, son Tim (Robin) Hearrell, Paula (wife of the late Jeffrey Hearrell, grandchildren Jason (Misty) Young, Amy (Jerry) Gulu, Kalie (Robert) Johnson, Tony (Kelsey) Hearrell, Casey (Chris) Dial and Korie Hearrell and great grandchildren Izabella, Madelyn, Danika, Ayden, Allison, Britlee, Cashto, Fenley, Gabe and Kali. Calling hours will be held from 11 AM until time of funeral service at 1 PM on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend John Stallings will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
