Zella Irene (Simmons) Kester

Zella I. Kester 82 of Ravenna , passed away Monday March 20, 2017 at Akron City Hospital. She was born June 23, 1934 in Harrington Township, Illinois to the late Newton and Gladys E. (McKinney) Simmons. Mrs. Kester retired from Craft Supply where she had worked in the warehouse. She was a member of God's Church in Blackhorse. Survivors include her husband of 61 years Henry Kester whom she married February 25, 1956, her children Paula Keller of Kent, Kirby Kester of Ravenna, David (Sherry) Kester of Ravenna, five grandchildren, David, Jason, Elizabeth, Katie, Brandon, four great grandchildren Lucas, Alex, Henry, Robert Tanner and her sister Evelyn Gibson of Cleveland, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Pascoe and brother Fred Simmons. Calling hours will be from 1 PM Friday March 24, 2017 until time of the 2:00PM funeral service at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Rev. Vicie Mostella officiating.
