A. James Black, 95 of Kent passed away into his Savior's arms on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at the Canterbury of Twinsburg. He was born May 16, 1928 in Kittanning, PA to the late Harry J. and Laura Ethel (Champion) Black. Mr. Black has lived in Ohio since 1959 and was a retired welder from the Chrysler Corp. in Twinsburg. He was a member of the Ravenna Assembly of God Church and the APCO Fish and Wildlife Conservation Club and Nordonia Hills Gun Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Arnold Black, Richard Black, Betty Toy, Sondra Bowser and Donald Black. Survivors include his wife Delia O. (Harvey) Johnson Black whom he married June 25, 1988, his daughters Darla (Donald) Toth, Miriam (Don) Thomas, step children John (Sharon Caudel) Johnson, Deborah (Stan) Hughes, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, siblings Joan Grafton, Donna (Jim) Barnett and Rose (Ralph) Davis. Calling hours will be Thursday June 1, 2023 from 11:30 am till time of the funeral services at 12:30 PM at the Ravenna Assembly of God Church with Pastor Gary Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.
