Bert A Croop

Bert A. Croop 90 of Ravenna passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 16, 1932 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Howard and Angeline (Bradac) Croop. Bert was a US Army veteran.  He was the owner of Croop's Garage where he worked as a master mechanic beyond his time. He also worked for the Ravenna Arsenal where he retired from. He leaves behind his wife of 64 years Barbara (Butcher); daughter Julie (Scott) Reber and sons Michael Croop and Howard (Tina) Croop and grandchildren Nicole and Cody Croop.    He also leaves behind brother Sterling Croop and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Paul Croop, Vernon Croop and Opal Shearer. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna with Bill Wisniewski officiating.  Guests are welcomed at the Croop residence after the service where a luncheon will be held.  The family would like to thank his hospice caregivers for their care and compassion these last few weeks and a special thank you to Dr. Emmauel Yanelli for his patience and understanding.
