Bettie J. Storey 86 of Rootstown passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 after a period of declining health. She was born April 20, 1937 in Summersville, WV to Roy and Margaret (Wills) Lowden. She devoted her life to caring for her family and helping others. Survivors include her children Cynthia L. Royer, James W. Storey and John W. Storey II, 5 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, sister Helen Wilson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John W. "Red" Storey and siblings Leroy Lowden, Harold Lowden and Sandra Dennis. Private family services have been held with burial in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
