Bettyann Ataman Obituary

Bettyann Ataman 79 of Streetsboro passed away Monday, March 11, 2019. She was born January 5, 1940 in Johnstown, PA to James C. and Mayme V. (Piper) Johnson. Bettyann retired from Zircoa after 30 years,  where she was the shipping and receiving manager. She was a master at knitting, crocheting, macrame and enjoyed playing bingo. Survivors include her children John (Gaylynn) Ataman, Diana (Doug) Dillon, James Ataman and Betty (Thomas) Yauger, grandchildren David (Shelby), Katelin, Emily, Adam, Kenny and Alex, great grandchildren Barbara, Jeremiah and Savannah and siblings Emma Walker, Marie Miller, Barbara Miller and Charles Wertman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John in 2017, granddaughter Jodi and siblings Thelma Leszyeski, Carol Dietz and James Johnson. Calling hours will be from 1 PM until time of memorial service at 3 PM Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend Tim Paroz will officiate. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106.
