Carrie Jean (Christy) Moss

Carrie Jean (Christy) Moss, 64, a devote Christian of Edinburg, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2025. Carrie was born in Akron on July 21, 1960. Known as a very loving and involved “Mamaw”, Carrie dedicated her life first-and-foremost to her family. She was the beloved wife of Jack Moss for 42 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Justin (Mindy) Moss, her daughter Jessica (Kory) Moore, her grandchildren: Hayley (Derrick), Connor, Cru, Chesney, Jackson, Jakob & Kash, her father Donald Christy, brothers: Dean (Donna) Christy, Dan (Shawnee) Christy and her sister Cathy Christy. She was preceded in death by her mother Marsha Christy and her twin brother Donnie Christy. Carrie was truly one of those people who always put herself last to make sure that the needs of others were met. She was known to be one of the sweetest, kindest and most polite people that you would ever meet. Terms such as “The Salt of the Earth”, “Amazing Grace” and “Angel Among Us” were used frequently to describe Carrie. She always looked for the best in people. Her glass was always half full and she battled her cancer courageously for over two years. Carrie enjoyed studying the bible, traveling with her husband and camping with her children & grandchildren. The family would like to thank their close friends for all of their love & support during this difficult time as well as the caregivers from Traditions Health Hospice. Carrie will live on through the memories, lessons & bonds that she made with her husband, children & grandchildren.
