Charles Robert Lindsey, Jr. 58 of Ravenna passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Akron City Hospital. He was born September 7, 1961 in Ypsilanti, MI to Charles Robert and Ramona (Lake) Lindsey, Sr. He was a heavy equipment operator for over 20 years at A Crano Excavating in Akron. For many years, Chuck was the life of the party. He could always make a person laugh with his silly antics, a funny story, or discussing current events. Chuck loved to listen to his music. He loved the fair and could often be found underneath the tractor tent, conversing with anyone that would pass through. He certainly had the gift of gab. He would talk your ear off on the phone. He enjoyed riding his ATV with friends and family, 4-H events, taking day trips to wherever his truck would take him. His summers were filled with county fairs and tractor pulls. He was a John Deere tractor fan. Mostly, he loved spending time with his children and his family. Chuck was an all around great guy, his family meant everything to him. He will be missed greatly. He is survived by his father Charles Robert Lindsey, Sr., children Charles R. Lindsey III and Megan J. Lindsey, siblings Bonnie (James) Marek, Elizabeth (Pete) Hillegas, Catherine Yeamans, Joseph (Dawn) Lindsey, Kenneth (Sherry) Lindsey, many nieces and nephews and the mother of his children Lynnette Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his mother. Calling hours will be from 12 PM until time of funeral service at 2 PM Friday, June 12, 2020 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
