Constance Cherry Obituary

Constance Ann (Copac) Cherry, 80 years old, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 with her family at her side.  Connie was born, October 6, 1939 to Frank and Ann (Dudek) Copac.  She was a lifelong Ravenna resident, with a long career and many roles in the Ravenna School system.  Connie and her late husband Don were active parishioners of the First Congregational Church in Ravenna.  Connie participated/supported the church as Church Secretary, member of the choir, Women’s Fellowship and Scholarship committees.  Connie was married to Don for 56 years and together they created a loving family and cherished memories. Her devotion to her 3 girls cannot be adequately detailed in this short but loving summary of her life.  Connie is Survived by:  loving daughters -DeNiece Cherry of Ravenna, Darlene Selesnik (Andy) of Lyndhurst and Barbara Grispino (Sam), Twinsburg, adored grandson Dominic Grispino, and dear in laws- Vicky Copac and Robert Cherry.  Connie cherished her relationships with nieces Diane Kinner, Beth Cherry, Caryn (Joe) Postlethwait, Nephew Chris Copac and great nephews and nieces - Jeff Kinner (Rachel), Ben Postlethwait (April ), Will Postlethwait (Adriane) and Molly Postlethwait.  Connie treasured her cousins from the Copac, Dudek, and Cherry families.  Connie greatly enjoyed traveling to Amish Country and the time spent on these road trips with family and the countless hours with her puzzle buddy.  Connie was predeceased by her beloved husband Don, brother Don Copac and sister-in-law Joyce Cherry.   A memorial service celebrating her life is planned:  Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11am First Congregational Church 266 South Chestnut St., Ravenna, Ohio.  The family would like to thank Connie’s “girls”  from Home Instead for their dedicated  and compassionate care and the Crossroads staff for their skilled and attentive care which enabled Connie to complete her journey on this earth as she wished.    The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations please be made to  Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Suite E, Uniontown, Ohio 44685,  Home Instead of Ravenna, 705 Oakwood St., Ravenna, Ohio 44266 or the First Congregational Church, 266 S.
