Dale S. Holler, 82, of Rootstown, passed away peacefully August 2, 2020 with his wife (Roberta) by his side. He was born in Bedford, Pennsylvania to Roy and Pearl Holler and raised in Grindstone, PA. For 27 years, Dale was an inspector at General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio. He also worked for over 30 years selling DiRusso’s Italian sausages at many fairs and festivals. Dale made many friends that become family members over the years. Everyone went to Dale for advice and he knew the answers to any problem. He loved his family, Chevy cars and trucks, tractors, and working on projects. He was a man that was always happy and seen at times as ornery. One of the family’s fondest memories is seeing the joy on Dale’s face when he gave his grandchildren rides on his big red tractor. Dale is survived by his wife Roberta “Bertie”, son Dale Robert (Lisa) Holler, Joseph (Diana) Fisher, Debbie (Jason) McGlothlin, twelve grandchildren (Anna, Kara, Jenna, Logan, Vincent, Dominic, Nicole, Anthony, Angela, David, Dominique, and Matthew), and two greatgrandchildren (Ivy and Luke). Dale was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Pearl Holler, brother Richard Holler, sister Norma Duccumon, and daughter Michelle Holler. The family is grateful to the many nurses and doctors of Cleveland Clinic, Akron General, and the nurses of Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center. Per Dale’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
