Donald Louis Myers, aged 90, passed away on February 5, 2021 at Longmeadow Care Center from complications related to Covid. He leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Irene (Few) Myers; daughters Amy (David) Adams of Ravenna, Ohio and Nancy Myers of San Francisco, California. He also leaves grandsons Michael (Rachel) Adams and Patrick Adams and granddaughter Isabella Spicer and great grandson Jefferson Adams. He is predeceased by his parents George “Pop” Myers and Barbara Dussell Myers; brothers and their wives: Paul (Marianne)Myers; James (Lois) Myers and sister Laura Irving, as well as bothers in-law and their spouses: Leonard (Ruth) Few, Lawrence (Florence) Few, Carl (Mary) Few and Bernard Few. He will be greatly missed by his family, many nieces and nephews and friends. Donald was the long-time owner of Myers Home Service, operating the appliance store, known throughout Portage County, for over 50 years. He closed the business upon his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed working on and restoring antique appliances, particularly old wringer washers and enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities until he was no longer physically able to do so. He also enjoyed getting together with his classmates from Ravenna Township School Class of 1949. Donald was a former member of the Ravenna Lions Club and a member of the First Christian Church of Ravenna. He also served in the National Guard Reserves when he was a young man. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the First Christian Church of Ravenna, 6251 Gladys St. Ravenna, Ohio, 44266, the Ravenna Township Fire Department, 6115 S.
