Elbert Lee Brown passed away on July 4, 2019 at Akron City Hospital. He was born April 5, 1954 in Charleston, WV to Robert E. and Katherine F. (Cook) Brown. Elbert was the youngest of 18 children and enjoyed hunting, fishing, working outside, painting and drawing. He was very family oriented and put his family first, making sure they were taken care of. He had motorcyle riding in his soul and loved riding with his club, the Earthdog M.C. Elbert spent his life showing others the true meaning of family, friendship and love. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years Carolyn "Sissy" (Stafford), children Chandra Means, Destiny Roop, Dreama Brown and Miranda Brown, 11 grandchildreen, 5 great grandchildren, siblings Brenda Bainbridge, Judy Thompson and Charlie Brown and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, children Crystal and Elbert L II, 7 brothers and 7 sisters. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral serives will be at 11 AM Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the funeral home with Reverend Danny Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
