Jack W. Roberts

Jack W. Roberts, 70, of Streetsboro, Ohio passed away on November 24, 2021 due to complications from MS and COVID. He was born June 14, 1951 in Warren, Ohio to William and Dorothy (Miller) Roberts. Jack graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School and Hocking Technical School in Ohio. He worked for Davey Tree for a while but retired from the city of Barberton as a water plant operator. Jack's favorite things to do were working in the yard, fishing on his boat, camping and listening to the Tasby Brothers for 36 years at Dinkers (The Getaway) with his wife Nancy and all the great friends he met there. He also lived in a great neighborhood with good friends. He was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan and loved watching them play. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Nancy, daughters Christine (David) Phelps and Sheri (Mike) Donley, step-daughter Melanie Taylor and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister JoAnn Green. A private family service will be held at this time. A celebration of his life will be held in the spring or summer. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to The National Super Kids Classic Soap Box Derby, PO Box 7372, Akron, Ohio 44306.
