Surrounded by his family, Jack E. Russell, 78 of Ravenna passed away on January 21, 2021 at UH hospital in Cleveland, Ohio after complications from surgery. He was born on August 11, 1942 in West Columbia, West Virginia. Jack lived in Ravenna for the last 52 years and had retired from Rotek where he worked as a machine operator. He was also a veteran serving in the US Army. Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman and very fond of gardening, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Ravenna Eagles and the Ravenna Moose Club. In addition to his parents, Eddie and Mable Russell, he was preceded in death by siblings, John Russell, Sally Prater, Joan Culver, Bill Russell. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Elaine (D’Amicone) Russell, sister Mary Russell of Gallipolis, Ohio, his children, Lesa (Henry) Dale of Columbus, Sean (Kathy) Russell of Columbus, Tami (Greg) Karasek of Parkman, Mishelle Rockefeller of Chagrin Falls, Tim (Lori) Trammel of Ravenna, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and the Fairhill Crew Family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date due to Covid restrictions. At his request, cremation has taken place. The family asks that in lieu of flowers any donations please be made to the American Red Cross.
