James J English-Dokes

Our precious little angel, James Jiraiya Dokes, Jr. (“JJ”), beloved son of Taylor English and James Dokes, of Ravenna, Ohio, born Thursday, March 25, 2021, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 15, 2021. During JJ’s three short weeks here on Earth, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends.  A celebration of life will be held at noon on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at United Church of Jesus Christ, 420 South Prospect Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266, with Elder James E. Sanders and Pastor Alexoff officiating. In addition to his parents, JJ is survived by his big brother, Kairen; big sister Kyrah; paternal grandparents, Danesha and David Dokes; maternal grandparents; Kelly English and Michael Carver; paternal great grandparents, Elder James E. Sanders, Rose Cascio, and Steven Dokes; maternal great grandparents, Jim (Jan) Stacy, Bonnie English, and Debbie Wells; and, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends who loved JJ very much.  JJ was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Burnestine Sanders.  The family has requested that a stuffed animal, toy, or blanket be brought to the service to be donated in JJ’s name to Akron Children’s Hospital.  The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Akron Children’s Hospital for their incredible care provided to JJ and the entire family.
