James P. Paisley, 86, passed away Tuesday October 7, 2025 at his home in Hudson, Ohio. He was born on April 11, 1939 in Long Island, New York. James has lived in Hudson the past year, formerly of Auburn Twp. for 33 years. He was a member of the Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church in Solon and had retired from LTV Steel where he worked in the Payroll Department. In addition to being an avid Cleveland Indians fan, he enjoyed crocheting blankets for family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Mary K Paisley, children Karl F. (Mary Mackey) Paisley, Walter R. (Linda) Paisley, Britain D. (Anna May) Paisley, Helen E. (Paul) Davis, Kathy (Craig) Adams, Robert (Nora) Davis, Mark Davis, Roberta (Lori) Davis, 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, siblings Catherine (Raymond) Schleier, Patricia DeKov and Clyde Paisley, Jr., numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Those preceding him in death are his first wife Donna J. Paisley, his parents Clyde R. and Marion H. (Winter) Paisley, his biological father James P. Newell, step mother Helen Newell, siblings Carole (Otto) Herch. Calling hours will be Friday, October 10, 2025 from 3 to 7 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel, 141 N. Meridian St, Ravenna, Ohio 44266 and on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 10:30 AM at the Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church 35100 Solon Rd, Solon, Ohio 44139. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Donna at Shadyside Cemetery in Auburn Township.
