James "Jim" A. Luke

James (Jim) A. Luke 76 of Streetsboro passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 in his home after a long illness. Jim was born October 16, 1947 in Cleveland to Morrison S. and Ruth E. (Lehr) Luke. Jim was a long time resident of Streetsboro and retired in 2010. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and spent many summer days going on bike runs with family. He was a lover of the arts and enjoyed drawing, writing poetry, building model cars, and listening to music - specifically “The Beatles”. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years Linda (Wise), daughters Carrie (Brian) Woodrum, Jennifer (James) Winning, Jamie Mullins, his grandchildren Cassie (Kegan), Brendon, Bradley, Caleb, Drayden and one great grandchild Myles. As well as his sister in law Shirley Luke and many nieces and nephews. His grandchildren were the light of his life and his greatest pride. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert (Clara), Arthur Dale (Judy), Gerald, John (Betty) and sister Marion (Gene) Robinson. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, October 27, 2023 at the funeral home with Jim’s childhood friend, Reverend Don Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
